Tako — Privacy Policy
Last Updated: 6 July 2026 Publisher: Turkotag — contact@turkotag.com
Tako (“the app”) is a subscription tracker for iOS. This policy explains what data the app handles. Plain summary: your subscription data never leaves your device. Tako has no backend and no account system.
1. Data You Enter
Subscriptions you add (name, price, currency, billing cycle, dates, category) are stored only locally on your device in an on-device database. We cannot see it, and it is not transmitted to us or any server.
2. Data Collected by Third-Party SDKs
To keep the app free, Tako uses two third-party services. They may process data according to their own privacy policies:
- Google AdMob (advertising). Shows banner ads. May collect device identifiers and usage data for ad delivery. Tako requests non-personalised ads by default; with App Tracking Transparency (ATT) you control whether the identifier for advertisers (IDFA) is used for personalised ads. Buying “Remove Ads” stops all ad requests. See policies.google.com/privacy
- RevenueCat (purchase management). Processes the “Remove Ads” purchase and restore. Receives a pseudonymous app user ID and purchase receipts — not your subscription list. See revenuecat.com/privacy
We do not sell your data. We do not use it to build advertising profiles beyond what the SDKs above do for ad delivery.
3. App Tracking Transparency
Before any tracking-related identifier is used for personalised advertising, iOS shows the standard ATT prompt. If you decline (or never grant it), ads stay non-personalised and the app works exactly the same. You can change this at any time in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.
4. Notifications
Renewal reminders are scheduled locally on your device. No notification data is sent to a server.
5. Data Retention and Deletion
Because your subscription data lives only on your device, deleting the app permanently removes all of it. There is nothing stored on our side to delete or export.
6. Your Choices
- Decline notification and tracking permissions at any time in iOS Settings.
- Purchase “Remove Ads” to stop ad-related data collection.
- Deleting the app removes all locally stored subscription data permanently.
7. Children
Tako is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect data from them.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy; material changes are reflected by the “Last Updated” date above. Continued use after an update constitutes acceptance.
